I’m Kirstin!
Canadian, Mama to Ondine (a 15th-century word for mermaid and means "little wave") & Rothko (after the famous abstract artist).
That first year is such a blur of sleepless nights, endless nappie changes, 4am feeds and milk-stained clothing. Once I experienced motherhood, I knew my style of photography had to change. I no longer wanted to capture posed images with props- I wanted to freeze your memories in time and capture authentic moments. I wanted to take images that made you feel something, that brought you back to that second.
I'm a Southampton Newborn, Baby, Maternity & Family Photographer. For 10 years I was a newborn photographer in London and we moved out once we had our own little one. I've photographed over 1000 newborns and have taken many courses on newborn safety in photography from some of the best newborn photographers in the world as I feel it is so important in an unregulated industry to put your precious new arrival's safety first.
My style is natural, organic and timeless so you can look back on your images in years to come and leave them to your loved ones.

My husband said to me recently, "Even if you were a millionaire, you would still do newborn photography wouldn't you?" I thought about it and replied, "100% yes!"
I love my job and must admit I'm a bit of a workaholic. I'm just obsessed with all parts of being a newborn & family photographer in Southampton. I love meeting your gorgeous families, editing your images and even the marketing side. Photographing your stories gives me such a rush! I'm so experienced with newborns that you can rest assured your little one is in safe hands.
